Joy in Ordinary Days

Choose Joy. I can’t remember how this saying was ingrained into me. But it has always stuck with me. And it is sound advice. The Bible commands followers of Christ to “give thanks for all things” and ” count everything joy” (even the bad in life).

This isn’t a sappy, plaster-on-a-smile and grit your teeth kinda attitude. It is a realization that all that we have comes from the hand of God. And that we don’t deserve any of it.

We can be joy-filled knowing that God has good plans for us, and that He gives us all we need.

In my home, my attitude is catchy.  If I’m upset, the atmosphere is dismal. If I am joyful, the atmosphere is light and happy.  If your attitude is contagious, do you want your family catching what you have?
