Home is where the people are.
Today our home was full of people from morning to night. These are people whom God sent to us today. Our treatment of them either declared His name or defamed His name. We cooked, served drinks, talked and ministered to people of all ages.
In the end we are tired and a have a little less money in our pockets. But our hearts are full, knowing that our divine appointments for the day were a special assignment from God to love others as He would love them. From older women with health problems to punch drunk teens, I can’t look at people through my own eyes. I need to see them as Christ sees them. As people with souls, for whom Christ died. Every interaction with another person is a chance to bring glory to God. We are either a credit to Him or we are short sighted and selfish…and become a liability. God says that our love for others is a litmus test for our love to Him.
