Three Free Ebook Giveaway! Woot!
Three Cheers for a Three Book Giveaway!
I have been given 3 copies of this brand, spankin’ new ebook entitled The Good Wife’s Guide to give away FREE to you!
The Good Wife’s Guide: Embracing Your Role As Helpmeet by Darlene Schacht. (ahem: NY Times bestselling author. Not too shabby! :))
I think you’ll REALLY enjoy this book. It is written from a biblical perspective and is quite convicting at times! (we all need to be convicted! It is evidence that you are changing!)
Some of my favorite quotes:
” I understand what it’s like to lose control of the mess and start feeling the stress, so I’m writing this book for those women who are doing their best, but might find themselves failing time and time again. If you’re one of those women, stop right where you are and consider this thought: where you are today does not dictate where you will be tomorrow. You have the ability to get your surroundings under control, to manage your home well, and find time to relax.”
“There are two kinds of women in this world, one who much like that ant plans wisely, and one who flies by the seat of her pants hoping that the cards will fall into place. Flying by the seat of your pants is also known as “impulse,” or acting without forethought.”
“June Cleaver syndrome, develops when we’re busy imitating someone else’s expectations, rather than those that are a reasonable fit for our lifestyle.”
“Everything we do should be for the glory of God, and so if you’re cleaning for someone and you feel resentful, change your perspective on it. Say “You know what? I am doing this for the Lord, and I desire to please Him.”
The entire end of the book is full of schedules to clean your home from top to bottom, broken down into small, manageable tasks. (I need to dust my ceiling fan!)
And as you’ll see, I have retired the wooden bowl method of picking a winner for this handy dandy form.:) You can enter until midnight Tuesday.

My least favorite job is changing my sheets by myself. My matress is way too heavy for me.
I really dislike cleaning the toilet. I don’t mind cleaning anything else in the restroom. The toilet is my enemy… 🙂
My least favorite job is putting away laundry! Cleaning it isn’t the problem, it’s just putting it in it’s home.
My least favorite job around the house is cleaning my shower!
My least favorite chore is the bathroom, but once I get started on it, it’s not so bad. It’s just getting motivated to do it! : )
I’d have to say my least favorite job is laundry….I enjoy sweeping & mopping most!
My least fave job around my home is putting away laundry! Don’t mind washing, drying, or folding, but when I get to the actual putting away part…ugh.
Laundry is my least favorite!
I would really love to win this book!
I would love to win this book!
I really do not mind cleaning except I am not crazy about scrubbing out the toilet. Especially with being the Mommy of a little boy who gets very distracted when he is doing his thing in the bathroom. Haha 🙂
I very much dislike cleaning the bathrooms and mopping when be second. :0P There you have it…my secrets out!
I would LOVE to win a copy of Darlene’s book! This book sounds like a gem! Thank you for the opportunity to enter!
That’s easy..least fave is cleaning the bathroom.
I love doing laundry…it’s just such a daunting task to keep up with the folding! Especially socks for 7 people! I could really use some tips from this book!
My least favorite chore is cleaning out the van.
Dishes… and folding socks.. they tie for worst job around here.. I can’t even pay my kids to do them! LOL
My least favorite job around the house is cleaning the shower/tub.
I really dislike doing dishes. We don’t have a dishwasher and because it’s a task one MUST do to stay on top of, I think I dread it even more each day… :/ Makes me appreciate the work my Mom did for us growing up!
I am not a fan of dirty toilets and bathtubs!
I don’t like doing dishes or laundry… which is funny because my husband just commented to me the other day [when discussing why I don’t jump to do his laundry] “I thought you enjoy doing laundry…”
HAHA! Did you tell your husband, “When I said “I DO”, I didn’t mean the laundry!!” 🙂
My least favorite job around the house is doing dishes.
Probably my least favorite job is folding laundry. I love to put the laundry in the washing machine and watch it disappear, but somehow when it moves to the dryer it seems to multiply!
It DOES multiply. It is like a fourth dimension…the twilight zone!
My least favorite job is laundry. A job well done only lasts a few hours!
My least favorite thing around the house is laundry. I don’t mind doing it but I don’t like putting it up
My least favorite chore is laundry.
My least favorite chore would have to be mopping the kitchen floor. Although the daily “what’s for dinner” decision wears on me too.
Laundry is my least favorite household chore. Cleaning the shower used to be until I started using the Mr. Clean magic eraser.
Dusting has always been my least favorite household chore, though I do like the results, which is what makes me do it (though not as often as I should!)…my black piano especially looks really nice when first dusted…problem is, it doesn’t last long enough! Three chores I have never minded (and actually enjoy!) are dishes, laundry, and ironing…they are great times to think and meditate since they are, to me, mindless tasks.
dusting, thankfully that is something that doesn’t have to be too often
Such a blessing to have found your blog. I enjoy reading it daily. I hope I win this book for even more inspiration.
Thanks and God Bless you and your family
My least favorite job around the house is cleaning the bathroom. Thanks for the giveaway!
I actually enjoying cleaning and organizing. But I enjoying more working on projects with my 5 daughters at home and the visits from my 4 married children and their children. I am always on the look out for good books to encourage my daughters at home, and my married daughters and daughter-in-laws. From all the reviews this sounds like a great resource for helping them with loving their homes and families.
Darlene has been a role model to me ever since I discovered her blog (about a year ago). I’m sure this book is a gem! She’s already helped me so much in so many areas… I don’t mind cleaning (though I’d have to agree with the bathrooms being the room I dread the most!) ironing is my least-favourite thing to do and disorganisation is my achilles heel!
I love to clean. I love a fresh home. It’s hard work but totally worth the work.
I agree!! Love, Sarah
My least favorite job is cleaning the bathroom.
My least favorite job is cleaning the bathroom, especially showers and bathtubs!
Washing dishes!! I can’t stand the super-dry skin it gives me… oh for the day we have a dishwasher again!
I love being a wife and mother but seem to struggle w/spending special time w/each of my girls while also accomplishing all of my motherly and wifely duties to the glory of the Lord from day-to-day! This would be an exceptional resource for me! Thanks!
I would have to say that my least favorite job around the house is….”THE HOME SCHOOL CLOSET!” :/ I’v simply never been able to keep it organized. I’v purged through the closet so many times, but around Christmas and birthdays, it seems to get real scary. If I win this contest, I hope to have some advice on this. Thx, and God Bless!
My least favorite is cleaning the bath tub!
Toilets & laundry! Blech!
My least favorite chore is dusting. I would rather scrub 1000 toilets every day than dust. I think I dislike it so much because it seems like such a losing battle. You dust, and then the dust comes back almost right away! siiiigh. 🙂
Would really love to have this invaluable resource!!
I really dislike laundry.
My least favorite job to do around the house is the laundry!
Probably Dusting-it’s the one that gets done the least ; )
Honestly, I love cleaning. My struggle is balancing domestic chores with motherhood and wifehood, while maintaining my relationship with my Saviour.
Come on over!
LOL
My least favorite household job is cleaning the bathrooms (especially the showers!)
Me too! Darlene suggests using a vegatable brush with a long handle for scrubbing around the toilet bowl. Great idea, huh?
WoW! I just bought one one to do just that! Toilets–blech!
