Drop Your Baggage

Tis the season to be distracted and overwhelmed- by the busyness, the never ending to-do list, the shopping, baking and running around.

Although some of this is necessary in order to pull off a fun holiday for your family (the fudge doesn’t make itself! 🙂 ) we need to be mindful of our grand purpose in the midst of all the scurrying.

Take a minute to remember your goals as a woman, wife and mother.

When you remember your goals and main purpose, it will change your mindset and perhaps help to eliminate some of the time wasters that we get burdened down with.

So, if one of my life goals is to be the best wife and mother that I can be, my attitude and actions will reflect that I am pressing on to reach that goal.

If one of my goals is to pursue God with all my heart, soul and mind, then I will make time for Him in my day.

Don’t you find that it is so easy to forget our purpose? Glorying God by ministry to others and love to God?

It is easy to get off track, I’ve found.

So when this happens, make it right and move forward. Don’t grovel, or shrivel up.  He remembers that we are but dust, and is a gracious, loving God. Just do the next right thing.

What things are weighing you down right now? What is hindering your walk with God and what are you allowing to derail you from meeting your life goals?  The time wasters, the unimportant, the baggage. Can you drop it now? The baggage that is slowing you down?

Do a little self evaluation. Then make it right, by handing the distraction back to God, and purpose to move on for what matters.
