Surprise From My Pen-pal

I told you here that I have had a pen-pal for years and years.

And today I received this sweet birthday gift in the mail from Susana.

She made this sweet pinkeep from linen, cotton and stuffed it with wool.

Not to mention that she is the friend who inspired me to make such beautiful hand stamped tags and cards. She amazes me.

Over the past 15 plus years, she has mentored me in homeschooling, encouraged me to make preserves by sending me a sampling of her delicious canned goods (always beautifully presented!), given me wise counsel and has sent me numerous samplers, which I display in my home. Her letters are like a healing balm. Each one has special meaning.

I am so thankful for her kindness and thoughtfulness. She amazes me!
