Pics from Bek’s Graduation Party
We had perfect weather yesterday for Bek’s graduation party. I am extremely thankful for all of our family and friends who helped. Not only did my sisters and parents spend most of the day Friday setting up the hall, decorating and preparing food, they basically ran the whole event for me. Peter did a crazy amount of running around so that I didn’t have to (he is concerned that my mono will get worse, sweet guy!) My Uncle John came early to pitch in and help without being asked. My church friends did errands so I wouldn’t have to, made desserts and brought fruit. My sister in law Nancy went out of her way to talk to people who didn’t know everyone, and to make them feel at home. She also volunteered to take pictures of the whole event. My sister, Hannah made this gorgeous cake.

I have to tell you that I love being part of a community. In a world of one word texts, and online friendships, and everything hurried in order to be quick and easy, there is nothing like face to face visiting and sitting with someone you love in person. This takes time and sacrifice but in the end there is no substitute. We only have one shot at this life and relationships and people matter.

Thought I’d share a little peek into what we did all weekend. 🙂
What did you do?
A wonderful time was had by all! The food was over the top and plenty of it. Bek looked beautiful as usual. She is such a joy and a blessing to all who know her. As Donna said, she sure will be missed when she leaves for BJU, but we are all so happy for her as she starts another journey down the road of life. Can’t wait to see where it takes her.
We are getting ready for our big graduates party next weekend ! The cake looked fabulous ! This is a big moment in your lives as well as hers…praying for you ! Looks like a great time.
It was a lovely party, the food was so very good, and in abundance!!! And the day was perfect. All this made more wonderful by the celebration of Rebecca’s graduation. She’s a lovely young lady and a credit to her parents. She will be missed when she goes off to BJ in the Fall.
Wish we could have been there!
