Stayed or Strayed?

Saturday, Peter took me for a day trip to Historic Deerfield, MA. We had a perfect day, and I know that it was a blessing from the hand of God. The foliage was beautiful, the family was happy. It was just what my heart needed.

Choosing Gratitude

“Ingratitude is our first step away from God.” This is a statement that I have been mulling over for a few days. When I am tempted to complain or  am discontent in my heart, I am actually turning my gaze away from God and His

Autumn- A time for reflection

I love the change of seasons. You have to love them if you live in New England–it would be regional sacrelidge if you didn’t. Really though, I love all the changes that come with fall. It seems like a season for re-evaluating your life. Thoughts

Joy in Painting

I am so thankful for the opportunity to take a weekly watercolor class given by the Duxbury Art Association. We go out on location to some of the most beautiful spots in Duxbury and paint in the sunshine. It is wonderful to get to paint

Enjoying the Outdoors

Since we homeschool our children, we do not take snow days. Instead, we  take “beautiful days.”  When warm weather comes, we can’t stand to be bent over our books, so we head outdoors. The girls swing, I paint and we just plain enjoy the sunshine.
