One of My Fav New Websites ;)
I just want to make sure that you all know about Grooveshark.com.
Grooveshark is an online library of music that you can access for free. It is different than Pandora Radio, because you actually go in and choose the music to put onto your play list to listen to when you want and as many times as you want.
It is free if you listen from your PC, but if you wanted to take it on your mobile phone, you’d have to pay for that.
One of my favorite movies of all time is North and South. It has the most beautiful soundtrack which I could never find for sale anywhere. Well, guess what I found on Grooveshark!! Yes, that’s right. The soundtrack. Free. (This North and South is not the Civil War movie. It is about a cotton mill owner during the turn of the century who has major misunderstandings and a love/hate relationship with a beautiful clergy’s daughter, Margaret Hale. She dislikes the way he runs his mill and treats his laborers. Have you seen it? It is sometimes on Netflix if you subscribe to that service.) Okay, I found this trailer and had to post it.

The North and South soundtrack is here !! ** Can you tell I am excited.
Also, you can find many sacred songs like this favorite by John Rutter- Be Thou My Vision. here
Also, the song I quoted from yesterday, Lord, Life Becomes More Simple. here
And, this hauntingly beautiful music from, of all places, a video game, Medal of Honor, entitled After The Drop. here
They also have the soundtracks for some of my other fav movies like Pride and Prejudice, Little Women and Emma.
Okay, I will stop now.
**Just FYI, the soundtrack has a song on it entitled “I’ve Seen Hell.” When Margaret sees the plight of the mill workers and the cruel treatment by the mill owners, and when her own friend ,Bessy, is close to dying because she has “fluff” in her lungs from working in a cotton mill without proper ventilation, she writes in a letter home, “I believe I have seen hell. And it is white. Snow white.” Also, the movie has couple of swears in it, but if you have a TVGuardian, it will mute them. 🙂 Please be aware of this ,if you would find this offensive.
