Getting Ready for Christmas

So, my oldest daughter comes home for Christmas in TWO days. My youngest two girls made two advent chains. One to count down the days until Bek returns, and a separate one for Christmas. Our tree is not up yet, because we are waiting to do that when Rebekah is home!!

But, here are some pics of what we have been up to lately.

Decorated my kitchen sink area. I spend lots of time here, so I added lights greens and popcorn garland.
I decorated my mantle after a consultation with the talented Nicole LaFond, my husband's cousin. She decorates beautifully!
My 12yo daughter, Holly set out this pretty dinner centerpiece for us on evening. She used a mirror and some mica flakes and her doll to make a little skating pond for us to enjoy as we ate.
Our homemade nativity, made from felted lambs wool. It has seen better days, but the kids like it.
The girls played their violins at the library for a town Holiday event.
Emily, Peter and me visiting the old town buildings during Holidays in Halifax.
Hopie and her little friends at Holidays in Halifax.

Linked to Courtney as we tour our blog friends Christmas homes. 🙂

  • How charming! Next year I want my kitchen sink to look like yours….I think that would make doing all the dishes a lot more enjoyable 🙂

And your mantle is charming 🙂
