Found: Best Ever Lemon Cake
I have been on a lemon cake kick lately and have made a few different recipes in search of the best ever cake.
For Rebekah’s birthday breakfast, I decided to make the Barefoot Contessa’s Lemon Yogurt Cake. Can I just tell you how wonderful this cake was? Past tense, because it was gone too fast.
This is perfect for a brunch or for afternoon tea. Try it! You’ll looooooove it!!
If you have a large family, make two! If you make one, it will be gone in one sitting. 🙂

It must run in the blood, Auntie. 🙂 I love lemon.
I love anything lemon. Lemon meringue pie. lemon squares, Lemon chiffon cake and pie…you get the picture. 🙂 I will have to try this recipe. Thanks for the heads up.
I have an old, small spiral bound cookbook that I ordered many years ago from Current. The book had all kinds of teabread recipes. I have loved every quick bread in the recipe book that I have tried. There is a great pineapple nut bread recipe that is so delicous.
My brother has a Meyer’s lemon tree growing in his back yard. When I go to Florida to visit this winter, I am taking this recipe to make for them. Thanks for the link, Sarah.
Would be wonderful with freshly picked lemons!!
Ah, lemon cake! I love anything citrusy, and Barefoot Contessa recipes are truly amazing. What a combo! So good–and I’ve found them to be very reliable.
I’m swearing off baked goods so I’ve not made this myself….but I am enjoying that lemon cake vicariously!
I was disgusted with myself for the alarming amount that I ate.:) Good thing I didn’t double the recipe!
