FYI: Christmas Deals and Sales

If you’re thinking about starting your Christmas shopping, I want to make you aware of several things.

1. First things first: Starbucks. From November 13-17th, from 2-5 pm, you can enjoy buy one, get one free “Holiday drinks”. Flavors included in this promo are Gingerbread Latte, Peppermint Mocha and Caramel Brulee Latte. Yum.

2. Bath & Body works has their large 3 wick candles priced at 2 for $22. You can pair with this printable coupon for $10 off $30 purchase and get 3 candles, on sale for $33, for only $23 after coupon! That is a great deal. These promos change quickly, so check online before you head in.

3. Bless This Home – Wall Art is now on sale for $17.99 ( Reg. $44.) I thought it was a great buy if you need something for a friend for under $20.

As For Me and My House – Chair Wrapped Canvas
–I love everything about this and it’s marked down from $54 to $39. Love it.

I have to admit that I cringe at the thought of buying toys at Christmas, but not board games. I love buying games that we’ll play as a family. Board games are almost in the same class as buying a nice hardcover edition of a book for the kids. Almost. 🙂

asked my kids to tell their favorite board games. Here were their answers: iMAgiNiffIndigo Family GameDutch BlitzFITS , Ticket To RideGame of Life (50%off right now)Apples to Apples  (45% off) Balderdash (37% off) and HedBanz is for younger kids but still manages to cause hysterics with the little girls. 🙂

If you shop online like I do, keep your eyes open in the  Amazon Christmas Store because prices fluctuate. We’ve noticed that when we put an item in our cart and sit on it for a few days, we usually get an email notification two days later that the price has gone down. (Anyone else notice this?) Then we purchase it.

Stocking Stuffers add up, especially when you have five kids. I try to buy basics, like toothbrushes, floss, razors, shampoo, etc., by using coupons, so in October I started scouring coupon sites. Here’s a great deal for Tresemme Shampoo for $.49 after using a printable coupon at Walmart.  I check Deal Seeking Mom  and Money Saving Mom daily. Ahem.

I’m always on the lookout for a great deal, so feel free to share how you save money at Christmas time. Have you tried the Amazon cart trick? 🙂 Worried about remembering? Don’t. As soon as you put something in your cart, and leave it, you’ll notice that you’ll see “reminder ads” all over the internet as you browse and search. THAT is the weird world of the internet. 🙂

Also feel free to download your two free chapters of our Christmas eBook if you haven’t already. You’ll find some inspiration and sanity in its pages. 🙂
